Pushead x NEIGHBORHOOD 2009 April Releases

Joining a number of different NEIGHBORHOOD-relevant updates today is the capsule of items created by iconic artist Pushead. The collection’s focus is on a graphic combining Pushead’s familiar skull set against an eagle motif. A jacket, t-shirt and sticker set all bear this particular graphic.

OriginalFake x NEIGHBORHOOD 2009 April Releases

The OriginalFake x NEIGHBORHOOD collaboration continues on into April with a new series of graphic tees. Not to be outdone, the collection also yields two denim styles in a clean raw wash. The imagery on the denim is visible via the back pockets while the tees continue on a mostly NEIGHBORHOOD-esque style.

An update into NEIGHBORHOOD’s 2009 1st Ex. Series “Holidays in the Sun” Collection is seen here. The brand offers a multitude of styles this time around including vests, jackets and button-ups to go alongside their trademark distressed denim. The injection of color is subtle but visible as the usual dark/muted colorways are complimented by the EL MEX. / C.CREW as well as woven straw hats. Look for these to hit select retailers in the coming weeks.

Damien Hirst for Supreme Skate Decks


Damien Hirst is the latest and arguably one of the most high-profile artists to join the Supreme ranks as a contributing artist. The pop artist and his artistic work has made him one of the most influential and powerful living artists. His attraction to realism and “provocative sensationalism” has yielded some of our generation’s most iconic pieces of work including preserved animals in formaldehyde which included a shark, sheep and cow. His work with Supreme features some of this trademark Spin paintings over three different decks. A short skate video featuring commentary from Damien Hirst can also be seen over at Supreme’s site. The decks will release Stateside on Thursday, April 2nd both online and in-store while the Japanese region will see their allocation release on Saturday, April 4th.

Supreme x Nike SB Bruin

Levi’s Fenom Amethyst Disco Denim

Steering away from their previous STF-style releases, Levi’s Fenom drops two new colorways in their purple Amethyst disco denim which proved to be such a hot item back in 2008. This time around the Hiroshi Fujiwara-headed line features a distressed/washed finish adorned with similar Amethyst detailing. Both a 505 and 207 fit are now live via the Levi’s Japan e-shop.

NGAP x Undercover 2009 Collection

Having already seen various bag styles alongside Tokyo-based design firm NGAP, Jun Takahashi’s Undercover unveil a full fledged collection with NGAP. The line consists of more bag styles, apparel, and accessories in the brand’s usual avant-garde nature. This new collection will become available via the Undercover flagship store in Hong Kong.

Air Jordan 1 Hare Easter Pack

To further compliment the Air Jordan 1 Hare we saw yesterday, the Jordan camp previews a secondary colorway in a girl-friendly light brown and shy pink offering. Although the kicks seen yesterday are scheduled to release in adult sizes, this new unveiling will remain a childrens release in grade school sizes. Look for both to releases mid-April at Jordan accounts nationwide.

OriginalFake x NEIGHBORHOOD 2009 Spring/Summer Collection

In one of the most highly anticipated collection releases this season, the ultra-popular KAWS and his OriginalFake label team-up with Japanese cult-brand Neighborhood on a collection of products. With the use of dark tones reflective of NEIGHBORHOOD’s own style, leave it to OriginalFake to heighten the collection via some subtle signature touches including the ‘X X’ eyes and Chomper pattern. Select retailers such as Taipei’s Invincible will release the collection this Saturday, March 28th.





Supreme x Nike SB Shoes Master Vol. 11

Following-up with their recent book publication Sneaker Tokyo, Shoes Master continues onward with their regularly scheduled programming as we see a preview of their upcoming Vol. 11 issue. The front cover includes an initial glimpse into an upcoming Supreme x Nike SB collaboration. The table of contents also includes things such highlights revolving around Nike Sportswear 2009 Summer, adidas Originals by Originals, What is MADFOOT? and the 2009 collection from Lacoste Stealth. These go alongside usual magazine materials such as shop reviews and interviews. Available now at Gettry, but check your local import book store if you’re outside of Japan.

Visvim Jaipur Woven Lo | Hi


Visvim’s latest footwear style is seen here with the Jaipur Woven. Constructed of breathable materials for the upper, the colorway features a woven pattern in both the low-top and high-top variety. The Jaipur is the latest in re-appropriation from Visvim as they update the iconic Chuck Taylor silhouette.

Air Jordan 1 Premier “Hare” Colorway


Having already dropped a slew of colorways, the Jordan camp shows no signs of stopping as 2009 will featured more renditions of the iconic Jordan 1 than ever before. This latest mock up actually challenges the classic Air Jordan VII Hare, borrowing its colorway and mix of materials for a full blown transfer onto a new platform. Along with the vibrant print colored tongue, the kicks feature an Air Bunny logo as well as “HARE” detailing on the tongue and heel. A release is scheduled for April 11th, 2009 with a price tag of $110 USD.

Stussy "Great Minds" Collection

Paying homage to some of the most influential and noteworthy intellects who have institutionalized who presented various schools of thought, Stussy unveil their “Great Minds” collection. Some familiar faces over politics, science, economics, philosophy and psychology are included such as Albert Einstein, Henry David Thoreau, Karl Marx, Sigmund Freud and William Shakespeare. Each t-shirt features a re-appropriated portrait with little bits of commentary pertaining to their life’s work. The t-shirts will release this Saturday, March 21st only at Stussy Chapter stores.

BRAiNCHiLD 2009 Collection

Taiwanese brand BRAiNCHiLD showcase some of their pieces from their upcoming collection. Headed by popular Asian DJ, DJ Mykal and Taiwanese actor Bolin Chen, the collection takes on a clean and subdued aesthetic. Utilizing an iconic material this season, we see it applied in various contrasting ways. As a relatively emerging brand, most of the distribution is centralized around parts of Taiwan and Asia.

WTAPS 2009 1st LAMF Collection - A Closer Look

As the release of their Spring/Summer 2009 Collection nears, WTAPS unveils further items from their new seasonal range of product. Entitled LAMF, the lineup features the Japanese brands heavy military aesthetic within a wide range of apparel including various military textiles, animal prints, and use of embroidery throughout. Highlighting the collection is their mesh New Era joint featuring excellent color arrangement and simple frontal patchwork.

Openers give us a look into a new store opening in Japan for Porter Classics. The retail space reflects a timeless weathered look with a slew of new product from the Porter line, a subsidiary of the legendary Yoshida & Co. accessories umbrella. Aside from the abundance of premium bags, its always refreshing to see a brand take a themed approach to retail design rather than venture directly into contemporary designs.

Slam Jam x Neighborhood “Bianco Bianco” Collection

Slam Jam introduce their first collaboration alongside Japanese heavyweight Neighborhood entitled Bianco Bianco. Keeping in theme with the name, the collection boasts three white items inspired by the late 70’s including a graphic t-shirt, set of Patchouli candles and narrow denim featuring a custom label, painted rivets and custom distressing. A release is scheduled for March 21st, 2009 exclusively through Slam Jam’s Ferrara, Verona, Milan and Barcelona retail locations.

WTAPS 2009 1st LAMF Collection

WTAPS unveil their debut collection for 2009 titled “LAMF”. Only a small handful looks are on-hand but should provide some idea of what’s in-store as the pieces begin hitting stores. The aesthetics are subtle with various references to previous WTAPS favorites such as the use of animal and camo prints.

Levi’s Fenom Gingham Western Shirts


Hiroshi Fujiwara-headed Levi’s Fenom gives us a look into a new release from their Spring/Summer collection for 2009. The button-down long sleeve features your traditional Western cut shirt with a Levi’s signature yoke, pearl-like buttons, and classic gingham material. Four colorways have been released including a navy, red, light blue, and burgundy. Available now at the Levi’s Japan online store.

Gallery 1950 x OriginalFake Chompers Seat Cushion

Pushing out yet another lifestyle item, Gallery 1950 teams up once again with OriginalFake on a chompers print seat cushion. The padded accessory features KAWS’ signature chompers motif in a perfect circle silhouette. Retail is set at ¥25,200 (Approx. $258 USD) while two colorways should see a release soon at OriginalFake retailers.

Visvim Beuys Trekker-Folk Collection

Further expanding their already impressive footwear roster, Visvim introduce the Beuys Trekker-Folk model. The shoes are comprised of a premium suede like previous releases with contrasting color accenting as well as contrast stitching on the uppers. Although more colorways will surely become available, four have been scheduled to release this year thus far.
