Japanese brand Untold has linked up with Porter for their 2008 fall/winter “Comfortable Simple Things” collection. A number of accessories were created as is the norm with most Porter collaborations as it features wallets, key cases and coin cases. The collection is a tribute to American textiles guru Alexander Girard who’s profound impact can still be seen now in the present.
Finally, we get details about the release of the Bearbrick Set collaboration between Medicom Toy and Singapore streetwear label, Royalefam. This SBTG Bearbrick Set will include 100% and 400% versions with a special fullscreen print tee. Set to release on November 7, 2008 at 10:00 pm EST in Royalefam’s online shop and select retailers worldwide. This is a must-have for SBTG fans!
The cover of December’s issue of EYESCREAM magazine will feature art by KAWS as well as the actress Chiaki Kuriyama who played the Gogo Yubari, the schoolgirl bodyguard of Tokyo mob mistress O-Ren Ishii in Quentin Tarantino’s 2003 film Kill Bill, Volume I. Although known predominately for their denim releases, Levi’s Fenom switches it up a bit in this latest release. Offering a a heavy-duty workwear inspired chino, the pants take similar notes as their trademark denim with similar logo and zipper pocket placements. The color combos include tan/yellow, gray/blue and black/pink. Available now at select outlets including the Levi’s E-Shop.
A month ago, we gave you a little preview to artist Rostarr’s “Wreckless Abandon” Exhibition in Miami, now let’s take a closer look. Romon Kimin Yang aka Rostarr was born in Korea then moved to New York in 1989. As can be seen, his works are often times very pattern focused with abstract and geometrical shapes. The exhibition lasts until Saturday, November 8th, so definitely go see it if you have the chance.
